Sanford Sends Holiday Cards to Service Members
WASHINGTON, DC - This week, the office of Congressman Mark Sanford participated in the Red Cross’s Holiday Mail for Heroes program by inviting Lowcountry residents to drop by the Congressman’s district offices and sign holiday cards for our troops, veterans, and their families. On Monday, December 11 at 10:00 am, Representative Sanford will deliver these signed cards to the Red Cross in North Charleston.
“A holiday card is a simple but heartfelt way to show our troops, veterans, and their families just how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice,” said Rep. Sanford. “I’m consistently impressed by the sense of community and spirit of giving that pervades the Lowcountry, and I’m happy to help spread this spirit to our service members this Christmas season.”
“We are so thankful for Rep. Sanford’s dedication, not only to the American Red Cross, but to our active duty military members, their families, and to our veterans,” said Louise Welch Williams, regional CEO for the Palmetto SC Region of the Red Cross. “We hope these holiday cards will bring a smile to our heroes’ faces and show them how much we appreciate all they do for our country.”
